I found this interview with Douglas Trumbull on the "Ain't it cool", YouTube page. For anyone who doesn't know, Mr Trumbull is a noted pioneer in special effects. He is the man responsible for the effects in "2001: A Spacy Odyssey", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "Blade Runner", "Star Trek"...anyway the list goes on and on.
