This definitely belongs in the ugly airplanes thread.

It may be apocryphal but I believe a calendar was required.

Prof. Propwash will now go sit in the corner with Greg for a time-out.

When the XSBA made it's initial flight on 15 April 1936, it achieved a top speed of 254mph, making it one of the fastest S/E bombers in the world at the time.

The SBN-1 was also capable of a top speed of 254mph, though by the time it entered service (1941), the SBD and Ju87D could match that and the D3A was faster.

Thanks for the dislike, champ - I was being cynical in my reply that aparently triggered you.
Doesn't sound like you get too many of those. Fwiw, I thought it was a pointless sarcastic sounding comment, a bit unworthy from an experienced contributor whose opinions I usually respect. So you disliked me back, good on you. I guess we're even now. :thumbleft:

If I don't like a post, I reply in the thread. I find the "dislike" function too passive-aggressive for my taste. I'd rather convince the audience than zing my interlocutor.

I know a bunch of you smart-asses are going to "dislike" this post, so let's get it out of your systems. :D
Exactly.

If I have an issue with a post, I'll either discuss it or move along.

One the otherhand, if I like a post, I'll acknowledge it with a like or bacon, depending on the appropiate level of appreciation.

And we'll avoid the discussion of rainbows for the time being...

Not an attempt to "zing my interlocutor" , I like it, but in interest of providing some perspective from my point of view. I know well I can be a tad literal & try to take that into account. I'm also not above trying to be a smart arse on occasion but make sure such a comment is well identified by appropriate smilies/emoticons such as a ;) & a  to show it was light hearted. Not seeing this in GG's comment, my literal kicked in, which is why we are where we are. I'm happy to treat it as a misunderstanding & move on.:hello2:
