Winter has already fallen into the gutter and sleeping it off, here. The cedar elm in the front yard is not sprouting leaves yet, but if we get any frost it'll be light, I suspect.

This winter has been a roller coaster, high temps, low temps and I have flowers blooming, plus the GD Poison Oak (which I've been wanting to cut back) already in full swing.

Drizzling and in the 50s. Snow expected next week.

Wet but very spotty.

We got 31 mm yesterday. A friend 5km away got 110mm and another 25km away got 208mm. Officially we all got 65.9 mm because that is what Bundy airport got.

78mm since 7am which is nothing compared to some places around us and they are now suggesting that Bundaberg might flood to 2010 levels. We live on top of the ridge many km inland.

We struck it lucky again - only 88mm with full tanks and the dam well and truly flushed.

Down side is they are still predicting major flooding for Bundy which could stuff up my medical Friday (no big deal that) but may cause my wife's radiation and chemo to be put back a week.

Latest is they are saying the two main access bridges are being closed for a week.

The good news is we can get to Bundy by detouring through Appletree Creek. It just adds 50km each way. And all the other main and secondary highways are open so no food shortages yet but they are coming according to farmers who cannot get diesel.
