I just stumbled on a set of Pictures of a Turretless avenger crash test from here Warbird Information Exchange • View topic - Grumman, the people that made the planes 12 SEPT 2010

Looks to be post WWII, I never knew they crash tested A/C like cars back in that time frame.

Well, there was this one too. TBM-3E (BuNo 69465) 18 January 1946, at Patuxent River, MD.
I don't know if it was part of the TBM-5 program or not. It doesn't quit fit the bill for -5, the seating is wrong.View attachment 708677
