I'm liking the set-up of the 8 gun nose of the late model A-26/B-26 Invader for this twin Thunderbolt. I have already started on it and will also add 2 cannon down low and further back. I hope to have it far enough along to take some pictures tonight.
I drilled out the eight 50 cal. gun ports in the nose as well as the two cannon ports underneath, cut out the landing gear openings in the nacelles, scribed in all the panel lined on the nose and nacelles and wet sanded everything with 600 grit, then 800 grit and lastly 1200 grit.
Everything is now ready for the final assembly
The wings have been glued to the fuselage, along with the horizontal tail surfaces (the cowlings are just taped there for show). The fit looks to be pretty good so I should soon be ready to start the paint.
