Recently found what I believe is aircraft canopy. I have been told it may be from a miles master ?

Managed to find a couple of what look to be serial numbers.

Can anyone possibly identify it or point me in the right direction please?

Thank you

Welcome to the site.

Regarding your question .. it is not from the Miles Master kite. There is a lack of the horizontal upper bars of the cockpit frame at its sides. What is more there isn't the handle at the bottom of the frame. The cockpit hood had the sliding back window at its port side. Additionally, the cockpit hood was of the side-opening type while your one has the four rollers seen. The rolls indicate the cockpit hood being of the sliding version. Their appearance and the way these were attached indicate the hood sliding forward but not back. IMHO it's the rear part of the cockpit canopy of the Miles M.25 Martinet, possible the TT.1 variant. Generally just the M.25 Martinet. The rear part of your frame has been broken off, unfortunately. Please have a look at the bottom pictures.

Thank you so much for providing such an in-depth answer, really is very much appreciated. The gent I sourced if from was based at Hawarden as part of 48 MHU breaking up old aircraft so maybe it was a part he was working on.
I will ask him if by chance he has the other spur that looks to have been removed.

Thanks again for all the information and photos. Can't thank you enough
Kind regards
Brett
