Unknown Hampden Aircraft part

Possibly a hydraulic ram.
The Sir Michael Beetham Conservation Center, at the RAF Museum, Cosford, are currently restoring a Hampden recovered from Russia.
If you get in touch with them, sending a photo and dimensions, they might be able to help.
