I am looking for any ventura bomber pilots, my Granddad flew in them during the war and he passed before I ever got to talk to him. But even my dad does not know to much about his squadron

Brad_nz90, the RNZAF operated Venturas with 1,2,3,4,8 and 9 Sqn in the Pacific in WW2 , if you know your grandfathers service number and rank (you obviously know his full name) you should be able to find out info thru the NZ war memorial sites and maybe RNZAF historic sites, you should be able to find out a great deal about his service life with those three pieces of info to start with , good luck.

487 Sqn also had them in Europe, though Kiwis flew Venturas with all sorts of different RAF units, not just those with NZ ties.
