How come we got Brewsters and P-36s from the US and not these beauties ?

These were 100 km/h faster than Brewster model 239 and 50 kph faster than P-36.

The P-66 wasn't very robust and had a tendency to ground-loop, which is odd given its wide-stance undercarriage. The RAF evaluated it as an advanced trainer for service in Canada but even that wasn't a suitable use for the aircraft, so they were all fobbed off on China. My guess is that the P-66 would struggle to survive some of the harsh operational conditions in Finland.

FiAF was evaluating CW-21 but chose Fokker D. XXI...I think CW was a lot more expensive.
