Here is yet another reason I do not trust AI and never will.
Google how to reset the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System on my truck. First result is an AI description saying you can use a TPMS reset tool, or follow these instructions if you do not have the tool,
1. Inflate all tires to recommended pressure. (OK good so far)
2. Turn on ignition, but do not start the vehicle. (OK still, but getting nervous)
3. Drive vehicle at 50 MPH or higher for 30 minutes (How the H-E double hockey sticks do I do that when the vehicle isn't started)

End of school year special schedules. Totally screwing up our convenient carpool arrangements. Last week of school has three partial days. All different. 🤬
We have five of those here during the school week. All different too. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...............

Hopefully they are smarter than here in Qld. Do a 10km stretch with the minimum of staff and equipment so that it takes many months and even tho they are only working on 100m or so at a time make the whole @#$%^ project a 60kmh (35mph) zone from day one to day (what seems like) 1000. And set up a speed revenue camera somewhere in the middle to fund the project.

Oh. Here we do things like reduce a major east-west connector freeway to a single lane when intersecting with the interstate. That's not temporary. That's a permanent feature. There is a highway design theory that says "since cars are bad for the environment, people who drive cars should be punished by forcing them to idle in traffic. Then maybe they will see the futility of driving cars and just walk, because it's faster."

Yeah = we do similar like reduce from 4 lanes to 2 lanes in the middle of nowhere and put no passing lines on roads that have at least a km (.6m) of clear visibility down and up the other side of the valley.

And instead of bypassing a small hick one street town reduce the speed limit from 110 or 100 to 50 starting and ending well outside town. Naturally put lots of revenue raisers (cops) in town to enforce the stupidity. And put a 40 school zone in there as well.

As the saying goes, "There are 2 seasons in Minnesota, winter and road construction season, or as I like to call it WTF are they thinking season".

This year it seems they like to close all the east-west roads in an area and the detours take you on a north/south road for a while, then a east/west one for a little ways and so on.

I can sympathize with you. The little town I live in, has grown so much, that there are days that it's faster to take a 25+ mile detour to get to the larger town to our north. During some of the race days, I can detour 15 miles to the west and then go south to get to work and save up to 30 minutes, depending on the race finish time. From my house to the interstate, it's approximately 7 miles and in the mornings and late afternoons, it can take as long as 40 minutes to do those 7 miles. And that assumes that no trains come thru during that time, as well.

I mentioned a while back that my brother had a vehicular mishap while trying to drive while sick with the stomach flu. He lost control of his car and struck another vehicle.

It turned out that the driver of the other car was not the owner and did not even have a driver's license. The owner told the police that she had known the driver for many years and had given him permission to drive her car but she could not remember his last name. The police report did not assign blame for the accident.

As a result, my brother's insurance company GEICO, refused to pay anything to anyone, citing the fact that if you are driving without a license you have no insurance. And while my brother's policy includes Uninsured Motorist Coverage that does not include unlicensed drivers. The insurer of the car driven by the unlicensed driver, Progressive, refuses to pay anything either.

I agreed to pay for the repair of my brother's car. He finally got it to the repair shop last week, only to find out after paying $320 that while mostly the car is undamaged, the airbags not even having been activated, Audi will not sell the parts required to repair it. It is only worth scrap value. He only has his 2007 Jeep Rubicon to drive and it is currently out of service due to a bad transmission.

My Advice:

1. Do not drive if you have the stomach flu. Tell someone else to go pick up the kids from school that are not yours.
2. Do not buy Audi.
3. Do not use GEICO.
4. Do not use Progressive.
5. If you own a Jeep be aware that you always need another car. Another Jeep owner said that to me and my brother now agrees.

Given C cvairwerks comment maybe you need to consider the possibility that the repair shop guy is trying to get a cheap Audi.
