Do you mean the spots at the leading edges or the general ones of the camo?

general ones, it look like they were crudely applied.

Certainly you may use them on the silver/aluminium painted model. But not sure on how the markers may cover the colour. Usually these became translucent. I would suggest using of the templates. No matter if you use a sponge brush or airbrush.

btw, aviationo f japan also has an article on the tamiya kit and talk about the oddities on the kit schemes and that the camouflaged spiral is actually a reflection Tamiya 1/48 Kawasaki Ki-61-I Tei the kit is seen as superior to hasegawa tho
