Actually it came from a fellow named Bob Miller. He was the Chief Pilot at BAE Flight Systems in Mojave. He's got mega hours in the F-4, probably one of the most. I think he did several tours in Viet Nam.

Since the Allies' guided missile tech was very primitive, no Allied combat plane ever used radar-guided projectiles in combat.

Nobodies guided missile tech was very good in WW II but the Allies weren't as bad as you might think
It was a radar guided air to surface missile that went into operation in April of 1945. It was self contained and needed no radar illumination from the parent aircraft or guidance from the parent aircraft.
Now please post any axis radar guided weapon that was launched from an aircraft for any purpose in combat in WW II.
Was there an Axis combat plane that used radar-guided projectiles in ww2?

The only systems the Germans used up to war's end were wire-guided and MCLOS systems.
