WWII remnants in Tunisia and Algeria

Hello everyone,

I will be visiting Tunisia and Algeria later this year, and am keen to visit any WWII sites that are open to the public (I realise some/most of Tunisia may be problematic for independent travellers).

I have read about the Mareth Line, cemeteries and military museums in both Tunisia and Algeria. I have also found some WWII wrecks that can be dived in Tunisia.

Although I enjoy visiting battlefields and there are some good resources on this forum, I am particularly interested in any WWII infrastructure that may be still in place, eg airfields or remnants thereof, surviving fortifies positions etc.

If anyone has any information on such sites in Tunisia and Algeria I would be very grateful.

Thankyou!
