The heretofore mostly unknown X37-B created quite the stir as it reentered the atmosphere and caused a large sonic boom heard throughout Florida.

The X37-B resembles a scaled down version of the old Space Shuttle. It is unmanned.

What is its mission? Discuss.

Most of the activities of the X-37B project are secret. The official U.S. Air Force statement is that the project is "an experimental test program to demonstrate technologies for a reliable, reusable, unmanned space test platform for the U.S. Air Force".[4]
