Yak-1 Question

Hello,

Been scouring for an answer and haven't found a definitive one, was hoping someone around here might know: Did the Yak-1 have a heater for pilots or did they have to suffer in the cold (particularly looking at its service in 1942 and early 1943)? And if it did have one, did it work well (some planes apparently had pretty poor-performing ones)

Nope, the Russian pilots just wore big suits so they wouldn't die of frostbite/hypothermia. Don't know if those suits were electric, however.
