The real thing lies at the bottom of the East China Sea. All on board were gallant sailors and she went down fighting almost 300 US planes. That is one impressive reproduction of a fighting ship. Its way too big to be called a model IMHO. Damn, the things men go through for their countries, amazing.

Thats a very nice scale ship; calling it a model doesn't do it justice. They spent about 6-8 years researching making it hundreds of thousands yen too. Constructed by the modern version of the same company whom originally made the original Yamato Class.
