Flying alone and trailing smoke, Focke Wulf Fw190A-8 (W. Nr. 155960), flown by Horst Adameit of JG 54, was heading
home towards its base near Wenden, Latvia on August 8, 1944 when it suddenly turned 180 degrees and crashed into the
forest near the village of Ergli.
