Shown here is a very unusual Spitfire. It appears to have the small blister on the right-hand side of the cowling indicative of a Spitfire Mk.II, but with an early flat-topped canopy. The 'cannon istallation could be a mock-up and the barrow-diameter propeller has quite a broad chord at the tip. The alrge hangar in the background and the overall lighting suggest that this photo was not taken in britain.
