It costs me the same as it costs you to shop there, so when I order things from him I try to order enough to justify the cost. Since it costs at roughly $10+ gas to hit a hobby shop in Calgary I try to limit my visits to when I'm going in for other reasons, unfortunately the shop I frequent...

Haven't been at the bench for a bit, but, running the risk of becoming a perpetual monkey with a button internet shopper, I did do a bit of.......cough cough......ahem.....impulsive internet shopping. I have been busy at the post office picking up items that have been arriving willy nilly for...

    *** GB 45 “BoB / Foreign Service ” – Winners - JUDGED COMPETITION ***

Sorry I've been a bit slow in posting, I'm getting old and slow (that's my excuse anyway) I must say I'm truly surprised at coming in #1 in the intermediate category, especially with the missing gear door, but who am I to argue....... congratulations to the other winners, and I did enjoy...

    GB-46 1/72 IL-2 - WW2 Eastern Front / Twin Engine A/C, Transports and Gliders

What AM did was not only to make the top of the cooling intake to flat, they made the duct far to shallow as well, which is unfortunate. They also failed to include the vertical vanes in the Duct of the 1/72 kit, so I added those, also added some shims to the sides at the bottom to center and...

GB-46 1:72 Bristol Beaufighter - WW2 Eastern Front / Twin Engine A/C, Transports and Gliders

Just a little annoyed to say the least It's jinxed I tell ya...... I'll probably finish it off without the torpedo, I do still plan on eventually getting another one and doing a MKII, in the mean time I'm playing around with a couple of things including an IL-2..........

    GB-46 1/72 IL-2 - WW2 Eastern Front / Twin Engine A/C, Transports and Gliders

Thank you for the positive vibes guys So while the Beaufighter chills for a bit and I gots me some exotic foreign paints, I think it's time to play with the Il-2 for a bit. Purely speculative, as I have no idea what the painting schedule happens to be but according to my reference the cockpit...

Just a small paint order, made by our friend in Russia, delivered via our friends at Hobby Colours in Greece. They took a month to get here despite being shipped right away, but given the ways of the world these days it's not surprising, and come in 10ml jars which is the same volume as Tamiya's...
