It may be lens distortion, but it looks like the canopy rails have a very slight inward curve in them, towards the rear, which could cause the canopy to be difficult to open.
On the real aircraft, the rails are straight, standing proud from the line of the fuselage toward the rear, with the fuselage taper hidden by the way the fabric covering is arranged.
