I recently finished the Eduard kit, and added the Brassin sets for engine, cockpit and gun bays. Painted in markings for WE Rawie, VF-6 as flown on 1 February 1942. He scored the first victory of WW2 by a Navy fighter pilot over Japanese aircraft on a raid over the Marshall Islands. I painted it Blue-gray over Light gray using MRP lacquer. The upper wing wingwalks, aircraft number were overpainted Blue-gray to represent the camouflage applied shortly after Pearl Harbor, then the large bright star decals were added, and I painted matching rudder stripes. The base was made of cardboard glued to an old wooden plaque, with lines scribed in. I added wheel chocks and toolboxes made from my 3d printer using files from Arma rescaled to 1/48.
