Greetings all! A fifty years old plastic model from Otaki to represent Gerhard Barkhorn's aircraft in which he flew his 1000th sortie on Jan. 23, 1944, and he scored his 250th victory on Feb. 13, 1944. Many imperfections but it was fun to built. My inquiry about the markings and other info is available on this thread. I used Eduard G-6 and Luftfahrtverlag-START Decals on this "Winkel Dreieck 5" which according to my research was a Bf 109 G-6/U4/trop from production blocks 440 000 to 442 000 (up to 442 099). Photos taken under a summer evening light.

Well Done! I remember building that kit when I was around 15 (not quite 50 years ago)
Thank you! This one came from the 1985 new boxing of the original 1975 design. I was 12-13 when I started building plastic models. It's very nostalgic to build them again in your fifties :)
