I gave the old paint a light wet sanding with 800 grit then sprayed on a coat of Floquil Old Silver. Next is masking for the Bright Silver.

Masking for the second shade of silver and sprayed it on.
I had a bit of panic last when I opened up the kit box and it was empty. no landing gear. No decals. After a 10 min search I found everything in the other X-1 kit box.

All the masking is off including the stuff that's been on there for 5 years, some of which did not give up without a fight.
