Thanks to George and Wurger for the most useful images, VERY helpful! I mixed up some interior color, close but no cigar, will do for 72nd scale I hope. Vallejo green and light sea grey.

Thanks, we had either fiber glass or plastic chairs that color in the late 50s when I was a kid. Also lots of old "bakelite" stuff as I grew up in an 1899 colonial house with knob and tube wiring and galvanized gas pipes in the horse hair plastered walls and square nails in our floor boards. I miss living in the past......sorta.

Nuff "ancient history". Almost complete with cockpit interior, I just put camera window in fuselage side and did a coat of Micro Sol on the instrument panel.

Nice, getting ready for togetherness. Not a fan of installing clear parts before painting. The P-39 I'm building has a landing light to be mounted inside the wing. As a trial I ran some Evergreen Canopy Glue around the opening and got a nice "light cover" so now I can spray and then make a cover. There are limitations to how big the hole can be, just not sure what it is yet with Evergreen

Agreed. I do NOT like adding landing gear , prop or antenna before painting. It's an accident waiting to happen. I lined the prop with the little tube that goes on it and glued that little tube inside one fuselage half. IF you don't glue the prop on it should still rotate and be removable for transit. OR I can go my good old option 2 and glue the prop in as I am not inclined to spin the prop as my 4 year old grandson would so anything with glued on props go in a "childproof" display case!

I have the wings on. Got a few seams that needed putty. The engraved lines are a bit deep, I also got rid of, or thought I did, the air scoop under the left side exhaust opening. I cut most of it off with an X Acto knife but it still needs more sanding.

Looks rather small compared to my 1/72 Hasegawa Corsair Mk II.

Beauty. Did you get the little antenna for the bottom of the fuselage? Airfix never gave me one on the 1:48 kit and I had to make it

No such luck George. What really irritated me was the lack of oxygen bottles behind the pilots seat, no harness decal, no flare rack on the seat. I can live without the cameras but it would have been nice.
