Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I, L7013, PS-U, No. 264 Squadron, Hornchurch...

They were attacked by Bf 109's over Thanet on the 24th of August '40 and was badly damaged, forcelanded at Manston at 8:20 am, ammunition started to explode in the cockpit.
F/L E. W. Campbell-Colquhoun and P/O G. Robinson was both unhurt.
PS-U was damaged but repairable....
 
Good stuff. In the second from last photo of PS-U, in post #2544, there appears to be nose art, possibly in the form of a crest, maybe a lion, not shown in the profile.
Something I need to research, as I'll be including a Defiant which fought in the August 1940 battles in my BoB collection.
 
I know the feeling - postman = kit boxes = lack of space. I have about 'x' total floor space, but 'y' volume of kit boxes. Therefore 'x' + 'y' = 'z', resulting in a miniscule area in which to move around.
Solution = disregard 'x', and move 'y' to another area, where 'x' = 2x, resulting in breathing space !!!
 
Anyhoo....there's a chance that there might be a:

N1613, N3513, N4113, T3913, V1113 and AA313...

If so, N1613 would have been one in batch of 202 airframes, ordered in February '38 and delivered between June and October '40...

If there was a N3513, she would have been in the same batch as N3313, which was 161 airframes , ordered in May '38 and delivered between November '40 and February '41...

T3913 and N4113 would have been in the same batch, which this time was 150 airframes, ordered in December '39 and delivered between February and April '41...

V1113, if there was one, was part of a batch ordered in February '40 and this was of 50 airframes, they were delivered between April and June '41...

....and lastly, AA313....she would have part of a batch ordered July '40, this time 73 airframes, which were delivered June '41 and May '42...
