Ah, the happy days of the early 1960s, and 'RAF at Home' days, when the local RAF airfield (yes, we had more than a handful of airfields back then!) would have probably two of everything lined up on the apron, often with no barrier, apart from a bit of rope a couple of feet in front of the displays. A long line of Meteors, Javelins, Hunters, Vampires, Canberras, transports, trainers and the 'V' Bombers, all there for close inspection.
