You do know I spent twenty years trying to make you knuckle heads understand that if would just keep your seats, the airplane would land and you could just walk off A PERFECTLY GOOD AIRPLANE. Oh sorry, got the better part of me there.Ah, Barry Buddon, on the east coast of Scotland.
I did a night jump there during a large exercise, back in the 1970s, when part of the area was a golf course (possibly still is). I landed on the edge of a sandy bunker, bounced over the rim, onto my head, and suffered the indignity of my equipment container bouncing too, and smacking me on the back of my neck
Almost certainly the cause of the current vertebrae problems I'm now suffering from - oh, happy days !
Which "door"? F and FB's are a bit short of "doors". Canopies and weapons-bay and hatches but not much classified as doors. Just sayingSpeaking to your injury, a friend, during his USAF career, was a mechanic for FB-111s. One time, a defective door latch failed and the door/panel hit him in the back. Years after his 20 years service, that spot became cancerous eventually ending his life.
Have your injury inspected often.

RIP guys. My condolences to their families.Unfortunately,
5 days ago a CH-47 of the Italian Army crashed and 4 soldiers lost their lives.
A prayer for them
