Hmmm, rather Ronaldo than Neymar. I'm not so anti Ronaldo. With all his arrogance and vanity he is still a great player.

[Milosh]

Maybe Kane has a chance at the Golden Boot if England goes another round or two.

[Milosh]

France v Argentina. Best game of the WC so far. Pavard goal was magnifique! I remember seeing him play for Stuttgart when they were in the second division.... Fairytale stuff
France could go all the way playing like that.

Di Maria's goal was just as good.

Di Maria's goal was just as good.

The first goal for Argentina was the longest "give and go" in football history, there have been some great goals so far.

Cavani second goal against Portugal was a religious experience. Godlike in its perfection.
I have decided that England will struggle mightily against France or Uruguay.
But if the best team wins and football wins then we are all winners.

I reckon you are correct, and yes Cavani's goal was up there with the very best

Amazing own goal by Russia v Spain just now !

Comically perfect in its execution

[Marcel]

I'm glad the Austria Grand Prix was not as boring as this game.

[pbehn]

Yipee another 30 minutes.

[Marcel]

Seems like nobody wants to win...

Seems like nobody wants to win...

They are all knackered, a lot of old players in a young mans game.

[Milosh]

Russia continues on with PKs.

[Gnomey]

Poor game and 2 poor kicks from Spain but if Russia continue to play like that will be difficult for either of Croatia or Denmark to beat though you'd fancy Croatia more.

[Marcel]

Another one bites the dust...

Spain out too.

All the great teams are not getting it done. Perfect opportunity for a smaller team to step up. Hopefully Belgium makes the most of this.

[pbehn]

Denmark Croatia 1-1 after 3 minutes ha ha ha

[The Basket]

Always liked the cut of Uruguays jib.
And wouldn't have issue if they win.
Russia's victory was a negative victory. Anti football. But a win is a win.
If Spain can't score then it's Spain fault.
Russia is well known for giving away possession and trying to win by grinding out a victory.
This is all gravy for England as the big boys go then it leaves more room for the real champs of 2018.

Belgium! Belgium!

If they play a bit more forward I would say they are potentially the best team in the tournament. But they stayed way too careful.

Cant really argue with that. Although if all the other countries continue to play so badly, i doubt France will even need to be at full throttle to win. From whats been on offer so far i'd say they'll walk it.....

Di Maria's goal was just as good.

Still think Pavard was better. The technique and execution was so sweet i think he still edges it. Reversing the bend and direction with the outside of the boot cutting across the ball whilst adding enough power and pace to give the keeper no chance. That shit aint easy to do.....
