Well, the final teams have qualified and the World Cup groups are set. That means its time for the obligatory World Cup thread where Marcel and Adler let our friendly football rivalry get a lil wild.
Note: It can get a lil feisty in here between us two, but it's all in good natured rival fun. Its sort of become a tradition every World Cup and Euro Cup.
Hopefully this tournament is not turned into a political spectacle, or that the trophy doesn't get stolen, and we can enjoy the tournament as its meant to be, a sporting event that unites the world for a while.

I don't even like watching sports, but I've been really enjoying the foreign World Cup supporters like the Scots, Germans, Mexicans, Algerians, South Koreans, Dutch etc. etc. having a ball and having fun with Americans. It's been a much needed cheer-up. I think it was a great idea to divide them up to multiple different towns around the country. Most foreigners only experience a very specific economic / cultural subtype of Americans, and most Americans don't even have a passport. It's good for them to meet each other.

But having seen the different fan bases from different countries, I think FIFA needs to give them the next FIFA peace price.
