Three on the way from Pen & Sword, two of them for the Normandy tour with Karl, in September.

Those look great, Terry. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the D-Day book. The cover photo shows men of one of the Beach Groups, as distinguished by the white bands on their helmets. One of my relatives was in the 5th King's Liverpool Regiment as part of No.5 Beach Group on Sword Beach. I'd be thrilled if the book had any meaningful insights about that organization. Many thanks in advance.

I'll let you know once I get them and have a flip through.
With the 'Walking D-Day' being an "overall view", and visitor's guide, I'm not sure how much detail on units and actions will be provided, but those other books in this series covering specific battles are also a battlefield tour guides, so there should be at least some info.
I already have the companion to the Merville Battery book (Pegasus Bridge & Horsa Bridge), and there is a lot of detail on units, individuals, and the battles, plus photos (including 'then & now') and directions to the locations.
I'm expecting to receive them by the middle of next week.

BTW, during part of my later military service,( in Reserves by then), I worked with 5/8 King's Regiment (even though I was Para), which was an amalgamation of 5 Liverpool King's and the Manchester Regiment.

Aaah, the old fractionated battalions. I did an exercise with the 17th/21st Lancers back in the day. It's a matter of pride that my (totally untrained) tank driving caused the Cpl tank commander to curse loudly.😁
