Greetings, gents. If ever there was an American bomber that evokes so much emotion and admiration, that bomber is the Memphis Belle. I know it has been modeled many times, and by modelers more talented than I am. However, I promised a friend that I would build him this model four years ago, as I got it for him after we both saw the 1991 movie remake with John Lithgrow and for his birthday. This year, I have made a major dent in its construction, as I am determined to get her finished. Here are some in-progress shots taken by my trusty new Canon EOS 40D. I hope you enjoy them.:D

Looking very good. But the wing dihedral seems to be a little bit too great.

Leave it to Wojtek with his eagle eyes! Yes, the dihedral is too great. I had a choice to make, and I decided to bring up the wings to meet the upper fuselage join with no gaps and fill in the gaps on the bottom with plasticard and Zap. My bad!

Greetings, gents:

Here are photos of the major airframe Futured and with decals applied. Those of you with sharp eyes (Hi, Wojtek!) will notice that some of the decals show silvering. The decals have not had softening (Solva-Set) agent applied yet as well as a sealing coat of Future. These are all kit-supplied decals applied with Micro-Set, so far. Hope you enjoy the pics....
