Fully agree, they act like AI is the best invention since bread and butter. Anthropic's CEO, openly discussing which jobs will be made obsolete first is just disgusting. As if that's a positive thing.

Apparently everybody should be able to do anything regardless of talent, albeit while offloading the work to an AI model.

Disclaimer, I already had a side task as AI engineer, back in 2016 and have trained DeepLearning models for all kinds of analysis back in the day.
yeah! Just as they told this kind of words, for anything and everything.

And there are now illustrations! This is the "B-36" engine from the book by the same author. Spot the crankshafts. Among others, such as even-numbered cylinders...

But there will be a massive increase in people required to take out the garbage. Especially:
  • Computer Rendered Artificial Pictures
  • Computer Rendered Appalling Publications
  • Computer Rendered Awful Products
  • Computer Rendered Absolute Puke
and all the other CRAP acronyms.

It's a double-edged sword, however.

If businesses are able to get their product to market, who's going to buy it, if they're all out of work?
I can't remember where or when I heard this long ago.
An automotive exec said to a striking (?) union leader "We can replace you all with robots."
The union leader responded "those robots gonna buy your cars?"

Yes, the alleged productivity increase is a myth. We've already seen that here on the workfloor, but the boss only sees the initial output increase.

Then, a new generation of IT guys will emerge with the task of rewriting all the bad code generated by AI.
But they won't be able to, because they were never trained to think for themselves. Basically it won't be a new generation, but it's old hands who learned it the hard way.

I just wonder... if anyone ever watched any of these videos, are they sonewhat reliable? I mean it, i doubt any of these would be based on real historical events, but what about timeframe? Technical info? Or just complete garbage and waste of time?
