Air Ministry codes

Hi all

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a list of the Air Ministry (AM) codes that were used on all WW2 RAF aircraft parts ?

I find/recover a lot of relics with these AM codes on and would love to know exactly what the items were used for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't look as though you have had any replies to your question, which is a shame. I'm after the same thing and am having great trouble finding out the designations, catagories etc.

It would help towards finding out what the items were used on.

They are called Section Reference numbers. This knowledge will assist you in your search.
