According to the wikipedia California produced 200,000 aircraft during second world war; however,
Are the companies that has haeadquarters in california, with lots of plants and facilities all over the continental US, produced 200,000 aircraft,
Or 200,000 aircraft produced inside of the california ?

Well it is certainly not 200,000 (of 296,000 total production per Wiki) built in California. I got up to 120k built in factories elsewhere in the USA before getting half way through the alphabet!

Given the amount of sub-contracting that went on, even amongst the major companies to car companies (eg Ford building B-24) as well as Californian companies with plants elsewhere, I think it may well be the total built from designs by companies headquartered in California. You will find the full production data, broken down by company and plant here.

The USAAF Statistical Digest Table 75 says 82,117 military aircraft plus civil DC-3 accepted from Californian manufacturers from January 1940 to August 1945 inclusive.

11,687 Consolidated Vultee, Downey California
9,630 Consolidated Vultee, San Diego California
5,414 Douglas, El Segundo California
9,439 Douglas, Long Beach California
7,309 Douglas, Santa Monica California
259 Interstate, El Segundo California
5,693 Lockheed "A", Burbank California
13,385 Lockheed "B", Burbank California
16,447 North American, Inglewood California
1,107 Northrop, Hawthorne California
1,485 Ryan, San Diego, California
262 Timm, Van Nuys California

Out of the 299,230 total, including US financed Canadian production. The table has a more detailed breakdown.

Thank you very much.

200k+ planes in California alone.
Jesus, the axis didn't stand a chance, heck even if you threw the Soviets in the axis, that number wouldn't come close.
o_O:eek:
The amount of aircrafts that produced inside of california were about 82k. However californian companies that had dozens of plants in continental usa produced much more
