Airfix 1/72 Mosquito build

A couple of snaps of a recently completed Airfix 1/72 Mosquito of 23 Squadron.
Pretty much out-of-the-box, though I did add a basic cockpit interior, which gives a nice contrast to the all black scheme. Also added wing radar aerials to the wings using lengths of .010 guitar strings, which are a bit hard to see in the photos.
Wheels up, mounted on a painted round wooden base with coat hanger pylon. I found a Luftwaffe aerial photo of RAF Manston and the squadron badge online, and put them together in the Paint.net program. Color printed, and glued to the base, then used Modpodge to attach and coat.

Sweet! I remember that being one of the more detailed Airfix 1/72 kits. The number of parts, by comparison, was astounding.
