Airplane in Old Navy Commercial?

Can someone identify the airplane in the Old Navy kid's clothing TV commercial?

Single radial engine biplane, ring cowling, appears to have a gun in each upper wing? I feel as though I should recognize it, but biplanes aren't my field.

Looks like a Gloster Gladiator

Not a Gladiator as the cabane struts are wrong and no guns in the upper wing. That said I don't know what it is.

It might be Photoshop, but it's certainly not CGI. OK, the prop is an animation with the hub in the wrong place (because of cropping), but that's obvious.

It's bugging me, too. The cowling and cockpit are really familiar.

Chances are, the advertising agency used a stock photo, so searching for the image would be a bit more complex, as the archives most likely won't have Vought's type information in their file info/keywords.
