Hang on!! WHAT!?!?!?! Noooooooooooo! No way that the guy who staged an armed uprising against his former BFF (who is on record as sayin the one thing he can't forgive is 'betrayal', and who has complete control over a vast security apparatus.......) was taken out! Inconceivable! I'm pretty sure the wing of the Embraer just fell off....Kremlin says Prigozhin's death may have been a 'deliberate atrocity'
The Kremlin says that investigators are considering the possibility that the plane carrying mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was downed on purpose, the first explicit acknowledgement that he may have been assassinated.www.abc.net.au
Just like I said earlier. The Russians are now focused on preventing the last attack, not the next one.Russia Sinks Line Of Ships To Protect Kerch Bridge
Russia is working to create an improvised barrier in an attempt to protect its critical Kerch Bridge against future drone boat attacks.www.thedrive.com
That this is being made public most assuredly means the next strike on the Kerch bridge will be via anything but these drones. Such announcements are meant to encourage the Russians to defend against the last attack while leaving themselves open to the next.
The article's mention of the West's lack of breaching and demining to Ukraine is notable. How did NATO expect Ukraine to get through what must be one the largest concentrations of landlines of all time with a half dozen mineclearing vehicles? How Ukraine Can Win a Long War
The West needs a strategy for after the counteroffensive.www.foreignaffairs.com
Maybe that's why ATACMS have not yet been delivered? Now they can be.The Russians cam try and disrupt a HIMARS' navigation, but that's only going to affect the GPS portion.
They didn't. Even Nato has to learn and adjust to a changing battlefield. The article's mention of the West's lack of breaching and demining to Ukraine is notable. I think the problem with ATACMS is we aren't making any more of them. Perhaps when PrSM is available in sufficient quantity to make West Taiwan nervous, the ATACMS will be released.Maybe that's why ATACMS have not yet been delivered? Now they can be.
The Ukrainians use both.May they be able to use Glonass as alternative if GPS is blocked ?
That would be like nipping from the enemy's Vodka bottle.
The U.S. will not part with their stocks of ATACMS - these have been earmarked for "potential use in the Pacific".Maybe that's why ATACMS have not yet been delivered? Now they can be.
Then the Ukrainians and their supporters need to make their own long range GPS-guided, MRLS rocket. The U.S. will not part with their stocks of ATACMS - these have been earmarked for "potential use in the Pacific".
They've proven to be extremely resourceful, I have no doubt that they'll come up with a modification of existing stock or something pieced together that'll workThen the Ukrainians and their supporters need to make their own long range GPS-guided, MRLS rocket.
I'm thinking a land or air launched GPS-guided Storm Shadow with added fuel or rocket assist to get the necessary range. Maybe with a larger warhead. They've proven to be extremely resourceful, I have no doubt that they'll come up with a modification of existing stock or something pieced together that'll work
Storm Shadow already has more range and bigger (2x) warhead than ATACMS.I'm thinking a land or air launched GPS-guided Storm Shadow with added fuel or rocket assist to get the necessary range. Maybe with a larger warhead.
As I understand it the French produced a ship launched version of the Storm Shadow for their Navy so that can be ground launched from a suitable vehicle or set of vehicles
