The article mentions that hit to kill missiles use more powerful chips than proximity fused missiles. Why not use these micro processors in proximity kill missiles? Wouldn't that add a layer of lethality?

Presumably the F-16s operated by Ukraine will be repaired in NATO facilities, much as the Ukrainian Leopard tanks are repaired in Germany and Poland before being returned to Ukraine combat units.

How long can Russia sit and watch F-16s in Ukrainian colours sitting at repair shops at bordering NATO airbases before some Russian hothead takes a shot at them.

His rationality is doubtly, but Putin is just a cowardly bastard, not a samurai.
Agreed. But it will be increasingly humiliating to Putin when lines of untouchable Vipers (but in UAF markings and colours) are sitting outside or in Polish hangars while NATO repairs them. It's only a matter of time before recently-ejected Russian airforce pilots, their colleagues and milbloggers notice the stacked deck and begin razzing the higher ups. They already can't be happy that seemingly invunerable NATO E-3 Sentrys are vectoring Patriots onto Russia's Sukhois.
