The Beirut explosion in 2020 was caused by 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate (equivalent to around 500 - 1,100 tons of TNT)
Judging by the before/after images will be more than enough.

Four hundred thousand more troops is a big goal. Will Ukraine's young men readily step forward, or will many run for the border. And what about calling for any men who have fled to return to Ukraine, leaving their families safely in the West? Presumably while many of the older men on the front lines will need to stay there, many will rotate to the rear to train the new recruits and conscripts.

Is it time to conscript single women? If societally unacceptable, they could go to non-fighting roles to free-up men for the front. But with training and kit, these women will be the equal of their brothers.

Either way, this will be a huge test of the resiliency and unity of the Ukrainian people. The Israelis fight as one people, because as Golda Mier said, they have no where else to go. But, I know that here in Canada, if we had a war that half of the country's newcomers would grab their second passport and flee to their country's of origin. Not me, my 2nd passport is UK, so either way I'm recruited/conscripted into NATO and fighting under HMG.

In the future, there will be those who fought and those who refused to do so. I would not want to be one of the latter and live as an outcast or in shame. This conflict will define Ukraine for decades if not centuries to come.

Most definitely. Anyone who think women are the fairer sex and not up to fighting have not come across a real women - just look at the likes of this video I posted recently or read up on what women warriors have done many times in history:

Israel is an interesting case (and one that could prove to be a model for a future Ukraine) in that the culture is very much "one family" with a sense of service to the nation inculcated very strongly.
