Ukraine got another major ammunition depot

That's three major ammo depots hit now - two around Toropets and one at Tikhoretsky.

There are some estimates that if everything in those munitions storage areas went up, it could be equivalent to a couple months of ammunition expenditure.
 
Ukrainians switched from attacking fuel depots to ammo depots. Russian air defense has to play catch-up with Ukrainian Ops to cover possible targets.
So what type of target is next? Airbases may need some visits to ge rid of some aircraft.

The impacts will likely be longer lasting because of the infrastructure that's been destroyed. A key challenge for Russia is where to put any replacement munitions so that their logistics chain can keep working at maximum capacity.

These attacks are really smart, IMHO. I just wish they'd been executed earlier in the year. Moscow now has the winter to reconstitute (although I imagine rebuilding infrastructure during the Russian winter will present some challenges).
 
There was a period I think in the 1980's where RAF pilots trained using the Tornado as a 'combatant' radar control and AIM-9 equipped Hawks as low level combat fighters. The idea being that the Tornado could handle the BVR fighting and help guide the Hawk into the close range knife fighting which it was quite good at.
