Ukraine's bomber drones offensive.

"In 2022-2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit Russian military targets a total of 17 times. In January-September 2024, there were more than 30 such effective strikes."

...
"We cannot send a thousand bombers a time over Germany every time, as yet. But the time will come when we can do so." (Air Marshal Arthur T. Harris, June 1942).

And not only are drones much more precise than any WWII bomber, instead of risking anywhere from six to eleven trained aircrew in order to tie down AA resources, you've got one or two crew in a bunker a couple of hundred miles away.

Drones have been a thing in combat for ten or more years, but this war with its drone use has added a layer easily as complexifying as radar or even aircraft themselves. It's a game-changer from the macro- to the micro-level.

From your linked article:

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea warned Tuesday it could consider supplying weapons to Ukraine in response to North Korea allegedly dispatching troops to Russia, as both North Korea and Russia denied the movements.

The South Korean statement is apparently meant to pressure Russia not to bring in North Korean troops in its war against Ukraine. South Korean officials worry that Russia may reward North Korea by giving it sophisticated weapons technologies that can boost the North's nuclear and missile programs that target South Korea.

In an emergency National Security Council meeting, top South Korean officials condemned North Korea's alleged dispatch of troops as "a grave security threat" to South Korea and the international community. They described North Korea as "a criminal group" that forces its youths to serve as Russian mercenaries for an unjustifiable war, the South Korean presidential office said in a statement.

Hope this sees some K2s issuing some whoop-ass.

Two years ago, I would never have thought of South Korean equipment being sent to Ukraine.
Two years ago, Poland started receiving the K2 IV tanks and plan on producing their own version under license.

At the time, I was wondering if any would end up in Ukraine, but definitely not directly from South Korea...

In addition to the UK's loan, the EU has confirmed a contribution of up to €35 billion (£29.1 billion) for the scheme, while Canada has announced 5 billion Canadian Dollars (£2.78 billion)...''
