Ok, so when one reads Cyrillic words out loud, what language are they speaking?There is no Cyrillic language. There is Cyrillic alphabet which is not the oldest Slavic alphabet (the oldest one is Glagolitic created by Saint Cyril) and is based on Greek alphabet. And there are Slavic languages originating from a common pra-Slavic language. Among the Slavic languages Bulgarian was just the first attested in writing.
