About bloody time.

Everything I've ever read about that guy, even before the invasion of Ukraine, has suggested he's always been an enormous PoS. Last I heard about him, he was cowering in the Russian Embassy in Sydney. He assaulted a pro-Ukrainian demonstrator and had a warrant issued for his arrest, so he fled prosecution.

It's also amazing how often these pro-Russian/pro-Kremlin/pro-Putin types also collect all manner of fringe and conspiracy beliefs.

I wonder what it is in their psychology that pre-disposes them this way?

Credulity and racism?

This don't look good for Ukrainia, no matter how much Macron says this: "underlined France's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity." if he then says this: "He [Macron] called for the establishment, as soon as possible, of a ceasefire and the launch of no matter how much he says this between Ukraine and Russia for a solid and lasting resolution to the conflict".

And combined with this, the outlook is bad for Ukrainia:

Ukraine hawks are boiling over at the Pentagon's decision to halt shipments of some lethal aid to Ukraine, with phone lines burning up as Kyiv and its supporters in Congress scrambled to keep supply lines open.

At least two House Republicans released statements warning against such a move, but most in the party kept any concerns private pending more information directly from the administration.

"I don't have any reason to be upset about it until I learn more," House Armed Services Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) told Politico, adding he hadn't been informed about the pause ahead of news reports.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), co-chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, requested an emergency briefing from the White House on the status of defensive arms transfers to Ukraine.

"Ukrainian forces are not only safeguarding their homeland—they are holding the front line of freedom itself," he said. "There can be no half-measures in the defense of liberty. We must, as we always have, stand for peace through strength."

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), former chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he led the effort to pass the most recent Ukraine funding package "to ensure Ukraine finally had the weapons it needed to repel Russia's [vicious] and unprovoked attack."

A small detail however, most of those capabilities where acquired to combat Russia, and they can be used now without risking American soldiers.
Agreed, but the primary concern at the moment, is how far down U.S. stocks have been drawn down and how fast they can be replenished.

Also, there is unrest in the Pacific, which is one of the reasons why the USN did not allow any of their ATACMS transferred to Ukraine, because they are on alert to a potential conflict with China.

The U.S. recenfly provided Israel a large number of Patriot missile to augment their defenses against Iran. I imagine that had Israel and Iran not gotten into a slugfest, that a number of Patriots would have been available to Ukraine.

Also, if you notice, the Department of Defense underlined the temporarily suspended material as Air-to-Air munitions, medium and short range air launched weapons and shoulder launched munitions.

Other items that were allocated are still being sent.

Apparently when Russia was building the Borodino class battleships the armour plate for the side belts could not be made or shaped to entirely fill the recess in the hull side. The Russian solution, pack the gaps with concrete. I wonder how many T-34s had concrete packed into any panel gaps.

A few years back, we discussed the aid being sent to Ukraine. It was brought up that the munitions, including Patriot missile systems, were those that were at their expiration date. These systems were to be scrapped, recycled or whatever, at a greater cost to American taxpayers than just "dumping" them on Ukraine.
Further, other posts, news articles and links point out that Israel isn't using their Patriots, preferring its own systems.
Someone may be fibbing.

I just looked at the profile of this guy. Born in Australia in a Russian-speaking family. So, they were emigrants who escaped the USSR either in the Brezhnev era or after WWII. Or maybe they were descendants of refugees during or after the Civil War, as those who left with Admiral Stark in 1922.
Anyway, those were people who escaped the Bolsheviks, Chekists, NKVD/KGB. And this man is the ally of the new Chekists. What a disgrace.
