The less I say about the attitudes of Sth Koreans re this sort of thing the better. I have had quite a lot of dealings with them re Defence matters and I am far from impressed with their attitudes.
it seems that they don't want to upset the status-quo with Glorious Leader.

I understand it to a certain degree, them having to live in the shadow of that lunatic.

China is doing a strong job of pulling together anti-American sentiment on the diplomatic stage.

If there is a ceasefire then by definition the Western troops cannot be a legitimate target. If the ceasefire breaks down it could be I suppose, an excuse to consider those forces to be a legitimate target.

However Putin's problem is that Russian forces would be considered legitimate targets for Western forces. It wouldn't take ground forces, the air forces alone could easily totally paralyze Russian logistic networks and destroy his command and control.

Putins ace card not yet played would be his submarine force, his surface forces would be sitting ducks should he try to use them. However submarines are all or nothing weapons, you cannot have a limited war scenario with subs. For that reason I cannot see why Putin would want to use naval warfare.
