Rockets and cannon-fire can be effective against ground forces if the pilot knows his machine.
In a situation like we saw in the video, the attacks weren't so much for accuracy as they were for keeping the Russians' heads down, thus providing relief for nearby Ukrainian positions.

And the type of equipment, systems, and support. Attack helicopters work well in hunter-killer teams.
Not really up on helicopter types but does that mean Apaches or similar and what do they carry ?

Yes! Apache, Cobra, Viper, etc. Are good hunters, but they are easier to target with artillery or Tank Gun.

Those T55 tanks seem to be making their way to areas close to the front line. There are a couple of satellite photos before and after of a storage depo in Russia. The amount of kit taken out of storage is massive
Fun for the supply of tank guns ammunition : 100 mm, 115 mm, 125 mm.

Why this Russian general may be Ukraine's greatest asset
In authoritarian regimes, competent soldiers are less important than loyal ones. And, as Russia's General Valery Gerasimov may find out in the future, they also make excellent scapegoats for tyrants wishing to save their own skin, writes Mick Ryan.

I remember reading from an article linked to this thread that General Zaluzhny held Gerasimov in high regard. Of course, that may have been a while ago.

Russia launches swarm of kamikaze drones at Ukraine, cancels some annual Victory Day parades
Russia had fired 60 Iranian-made kamikaze drones, including 36 at Kyiv — all of which have been shot down — as the Kremlin enacted a major security clampdown ahead of annual May 9 Victory Day celebrations by curbing the use of drones and ride-sharing services in its largest cities.
