Some context about what Ukraine wants with U.S. cluster munitions.

The 155/203mm artillery cluster munitions contain the M42/46 bomblets. Perfect for drone delivered anti-personnel:

The Mk. 20 Rockeye cluster bomb, which contains the Mk. 118 HEAT anti-armor bomblets, is ideal for drone delivered anti-armor:

I admit that I didn't expect to hear this. It's a long way from agreeing that Ukraine can join but its a good start. Should it happen then Putin really will have taken the prize of being NATO's greatest recruiter.

Ukraine deserves to have NATO membership, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, following talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Russia said it was closely watching.

Zelensky spent this week visiting NATO countries, courting support ahead of a NATO summit in Lithuania beginning on Tuesday where members are expected to reaffirm that Ukraine will eventually join.

"Without a doubt, Ukraine deserves to be in NATO," Erdogan said.
Zelensky said he was "happy to hear" that Turkey supports Ukraine's bid to join during a joint press conference.

That one might also be interesting to get an overview in the morning
Denys remains my number two, but I'm more interested in the tactical updates than the latest comings and goings in the media. Denys' recent videos start with him saying "there's no change on the map, so let's look at the news." I still open his vids each morning, but find I'm skipping through.

Of all the channels I subscribe to, I enjoy Ukraine News TV. It's by an Aussie and I enjoy the memes. There's also FreeKherson. That's a channel produced by a high school student that comes out erratically but it's a hoot to watch. So young and yet so wise.

Denys is an airline pilot, with a lot of pre-war vids about his flying Airbus types. If Denys were conscripted, how difficult is it to train a civilian airline pilot to be a useful combat pilot? Can you go from Airbus to Viper? I expect not, but transport pilot should be doable. Too bad the Antonov An-178 never made it.

He commented on that himself. He went down to enlist as required by law or as soon as Russia invaded. He told the officers his qualifications. He was told he was too old to fly militarily (I guess the AFU had more pilots than planes). He has kept his qualifications up and re-qualified as 737 pilot under a free program in France. Ukraine International hasn't required his services since February 24, 2022.

You know I'm going to remember the Boeing part.
