All the reason for Ukraine to commence its punch through the front lines and start the end game. Thousands of Ukrainian citizens are in essentially slavery death camps, waiting for the higher ups in Kyiv to decide that the conditions for the major move are acceptable.

In GW1, GW2, Afghanistan, Iraq occupation, etc. I think there was some public and perhaps even servicepeople confusion as to what the fight was for. For what purpose, for example did over 7,000 U.S. troops die in Afghanistan's invasion and subsequent occupation? How is the USA, its NATO allies or Afghanistan better off today?

But Ukraine's war is in my lifetime the first "good war" where Western values and people are helping an ally to fight an evil, clearly discernable enemy whose defeat is both definable and achievable. And whose defeat will make the West stronger, more united and bring Ukraine firmly out of ex-Soviet corruption and into the light of the West. When this war is over Ukraine will be a leading economic power in Europe and as a NATO member able to do more than its share to stand up to Russia. That's why I support helping Ukraine to the bitter end, because it's achievable and hopefully good for the world order (a total geopolitical collapse of Russia and subsequent power vacuum may not be, so let's no ask for that).
And I think those previous wars are part of the problem. Because the public have grown used to pointless wars, now there is one that is actually worth supporting they're tired of all wars.

Also, there is a bit of a credibility gap with some governments, people are wary of believing that, actually, there is something worth supporting here.

The other part of the problem are the useful idiots and fellow travellers, for lack of a better phrase, who play on those worries and try to present this war as the same as the others.

If anyone tries to say it is still only a local problem between Ukraine and Russia it is worth pointing out the Russian
financed 'operations' going on in African countries right now (Wagner group in Central African Republic (CAR), Libya, Mali, and Sudan).
And in the meantime...
Hopefully, Singaporeans stay vigilant and will not allow this facility to become a spy nest, as it happened in some European countries.

A cable channel yesterday interviewed a retired army Lt. Col. who indicated the U.S. should not be involved in what goes on in Ukraine and called the action in 2014 a civil war that is still going on. With officers such as this, I see what went wrong in Viet Nam.
Last time I heard a Civil war is between two parties from the same country. This was/is an invasion.

If this retired Lt Col (if he exists) believes this is a civil war then he has swallowed the Russian story that Ukraine has always been part of Russia and they are trying to take it back.

Just a thought, does Russia have retired Lt Col's

Are Russian frontline troops suffering from a critical shortage of small arms ammunition and weapons? Recent videos and accounts from soldiers and their relatives suggest they are. Let's review the recent evidence.
