The supposed locations of the Ukrainian attacks on the Air bases:

That looks like an AI generated Picture of a Burning TU-95, only 2 engines, those 2 engines only have 4 propeller blades not 8, and the wing sweep does not look correct.

But I hope they did damage or destroy over 40 heavy aircraft today.

Yep Abysmal Intelligence strikes again.

Worse still Abysmal Intelligence at two levels - the fartwork itself and by the clown who decided to use Abysmal Intelligence to create a picture of a TU-95 burning instead of using a stock photo which would have cost far less than the professional damage the Abysmal Intelligence fartwork created.

Agreed, there's a disturbing appreciation of autocracy and autocrats in a significant proportion of Americans. There's also a disturbing lack of understanding of American civics in many Americans.
Considering that some US citizens have described things like the 1st Amendment as a communist threat, I think "lack of understanding" is generous.

The drone strike on Russian airfields was codenamed 'Spiderweb'. 150 drones smuggled into Russia in trucks, hiding in cavities in the roof sections of containers. Ukraine reported it managed to launch 116 or 117 drones, hitting 41 Russian strategic aircraft. Four locations were definitely attacked, and a fifth location may have been a partial success (seems that one of the drones may have blown up prematurely in the container).

SBU is estimating the mission put 34% of Russian strategic cruise missile carrier aircraft out of service.

'Diplomatic sources' from Ukraine are reporting the following aircraft were definitely hit:

31 Tu-95s
Four Tu-160s
Two Tu-22 M3s
One AN-12
Possibly one A-50 AWACS

No ideas on whether they were fully destroyed or just damaged/crippled.

FPV drone footage show evidence of least a dozen different aircraft on fire. Looks like they had the time/luxury of lining up their shots and hit aircraft in either the wing root or inner engine nacelle.

On the ground footage from Russian social media shows at least two dozen columns of billowing black smoke across four different airfields.

I'm doing my part to keep this thread out of the weeds, and one way to do that is avoid vituperation, hence my restrained language. I'm much more vocal in real life, even with those who disagree with me.

There can be no doubt that this is a significant attack. People seem to be talking about 34% of the Russian Fleet being destroyed. As a proportion of the serviceable fleet it must a much higher proportion, these are old aircraft and keeping them operational a difficult task.

It's also going to put a lot more stress and strain on the existing in-service fleet. Which means more downtime for maintenance and other issues.

These are old airframes - the Tu-95 and Tu-22 both ended production in 1993.
The Tu-160 is still in production, but it's a dribble. I think they're averaging one new aircraft every 18 months and two to four airframe modernisations per year.
