With proper American aid they could do both.reminds me of summer 1944 and the allied fuel bombing campaign.
situation is different though as many targets are far away. Ukraine needs to lokk what has more effect - attack refineries and other processing facilities or try to stop the flow of crude oil and naturals gas flowing through pipelines so they won't reach processing facilities
With proper American aid they could do both.
If we look back to WWII, the most effective bombing offensive against Axis targets was fuel production and transport infrastructure.Refineries are nodes. Attacking them should be more efficient, no? I think that would be easier than attacking bridges or marshaling yards, though the latter are more vulnerable and tempting. I'd still prefer attacking their production. If it is not distilled, it cannot be shipped no matter how intact your rail system is.
Ya' know, if ya' punch enough holes in the line and if enough places, it does slow the repairs down a bit. 'Specially if one of those holes is punched through some railway maintenance machinery.... Yes, the rails (in most cases) could be repaired fairly quick, but the damage to stock (like supplies, tanks, aircraft, etc.) was a write off.
There is a lot of truth in this article but we all know one thing, Trump will try to take all the credit.![]()
