Just when Russia is on the ropes economically, Trump agrees to buy huge quantities of Russian diesel fuel to try and reduce the cost of fuel in the USA. Totally ignoring the impact on the war in Ukraine and totally ignoring Russian assistance to Iran of targeting data of USA facilities in the conflict in the Middle East.
Ukraine must be totally livid and there is little they can do as the USA would simply threaten to cut off any assistance/intelligence that they supply to Ukraine.
Truth is certainly stranger than fiction.

300,000 tons of diesel fuel is a hell of alot of fuel to be selling off if you're in the middle of a war (especially when your refineries are experiencing "unexpected repairs").
An interesting point is that its a drop in the ocean if you want to make a difference to the cost as the USA uses far more oil than that in a month

Not if it is fuel being shipped out of Vladivostok. Vladivostok is currently beyond Ukraine's airborne sanctions. Hopefully Ukraine will send some trucks or ships and sanction Vladivostok next.
